still thinking about the lectures from yesterday…they were really interesting. had this whole big rant planned…but….you know, the moment I sit down to write I can’t for the life of me remember a thing.

*cough*

anyway. on to the quotes.

Our imagination is stretched to the utmost, not, as in fiction, to imagine things which are not really there, but just to comprehend those things which are there.

. . . imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, ‘This is an interesting world I find myself in, an interesting hole I find myself in, fits me rather neatly, doesn’t it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!’ This is such a powerful idea that as the sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, it’s still frantically hanging on to the notion that everything’s going to be alright, because this world was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise. I think this may be something we need to be on the watch out for.

I have a sudden urge to blog, yet I have not idea what to write about…

Mum just got home. It’s nice to see her. I’m on myspace (the world is going to end!), and I am -20 points Dead.

I had a sudden, uncontrollable urge to find abused! and selfharm! Harry/Draco fics. Found some okay abused!selfharm!Harry/Snape fics. (It’s really not a squick as it sounds).

Can’t wait ’till Thursday. Haven’t been to the city in the longest time.

A poem…begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It is a reaching-out toward expression; an effort to find fulfillment. A complete poem is one where an emotion finds the thought and the thought finds the words. ~ Robert Frost

Cavanaugh Park

April 17, 2008 at 8:34 pm (Uncategorized)

At Cavanaugh Park
Where I used to sit
All alone in the dark
And dream about things
That I cannot say
You always said destiny
Would blow me away
And nothing’s gonna blow me away

At Cavanaugh Park
Where you used to take me
To play in the sand
And said to me, “Son, one day you’ll be a man.
“And men can do terrible things.”
Yes they can

And there was never any place
For someone like me to be
Totally happy
I’m running out of clock and that
Ain’t a shock
Some things never do change
Never do change

At Cavanaugh Park
We used to get high
Watching teams as they fought
They loved my friend Adam
But he always got caught
Man, that kid made fucking up look cool
Aren’t we all so cool? No, No…

And there was never any place
For someone like me to be
Totally happy
I’m running out of clock and that
Ain’t a shock
Some things never do change
Never do change

Never do change
Never do change
Never do change

At Cavanaugh Park
Where I used to think
That this life would be good
And I would do things
That I thought that I should
And no one’s going to tear me down

And there was never any place
For someone like me to be
Totally happy
I’m running out of clock and that
Ain’t a shock
Some things never do change

And there was never any place
For someone like me to be
Totally happy
I’m running out of clock and that
Ain’t a shock
Some things never do change
Never do change
Never do change
Never do change

about today…

We, (that is, my personalities and I) are sorry for arguing/snapping. We let our tempers get the better of us. Just because we are stressing does not mean we should snap. We apoligise (sp?). We also would like to acknowledge that we think Miss AmeFitz is awesome. we would virtual hug her if we did not know that it would make her scowl.

*bows*

Our sincerest regrets on whatever it is (apart from us, that is,) that is troubling you. We extend the offer of our assistance in this matter, whatever it is.

Even should you choose not take us up on our offer of assistance, we would like you to know that you have our full support in all reasonable matters.

much love,
Lucifer and Co. (i.e Lucifer and her personalities.)

Found that poem…

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Communication

February 22, 2008 at 5:09 pm (Uncategorized)

Sometimes I think it’d be easier to communicate if we didn’t use our own words. A good quote can say more than I can on a sugar high, (which is quite a lot), and doesn’t have the added weight of having to be diplomatic.

Sometimes the perfect words to express yourself are not your words at all. it’s something someone else once said, something that you read, something that rang on your ears for ages after you heard/saw it, because it was exactly the way you felt.

A quote could give you a deeper insight into someone’s psych than what they’re saying could.

Maybe sometimes other people have said it better than we ever could.

I have an idea to propose, and if you hate it, tell me so. But I’d also like to know why you hate it.

It seems to me that miscommunication comes from saying to much.

So, I propose that we use quotes, song lyrics, whatever, to tell each other what we’re feeling, instead of saying way to much but nothing at all.

N.B: I am aware that this, any maybe some post beforehand, are repeated. This is because of the way I imported my posts from Blogspot. I’m keeping both because I would like to keep all the comments on both.
